Although Lt Wonderlich was not our platoon leader he is honored on our website because he died while fighting with us when we got ambushed in a peanut field in Dodge City West. Several of us attended a memorial Service given for Lt Wonderlich in Cu Chi a week after his death. His platoon members told us that Lt Wonderlich was a well respected leader and they mourned his passing.
